Old Enough is a complex age gap romance. The author does a fantastic job at dividing her attention between friends, family and the unique relationship of Brian and Jane.
Jane is a fantastic character. Strong and determined but also vulnerable, hurt and unable to let go of the past.
Brian is a complex character. He knows his commitments and knocks down anything in his way to make sure he meets them without fail. Brian is also the the absolute perfect dominate, though you would never know it. He tempts, he teases and he slaughters your limits with such a fierce, seductive determination.
With most age gap romances I have read there isn’t a lot of mystery and suspense. Old Enough is a fresh take on bringing together the strong ties that bind family together, the pain involved in a family falling apart and the repercussions of each characters actions.
With a fairly large cast of characters the author does a great job at identifying each character and the role they play in the story line. As the story progresses the characters reveal more of themselves. It was easy for me to tie a specific emotion to each and every character. Some I liked, some I love and some just ate away at me, leaving me with a bad feeling.
The sexual intensity between Jane and Brian is off the charts, as well as the compassion and heartfelt moments. The mother daughter relationship is loving, hurtful and realistic. The husband is trying at times and I’m sure some will be able to relate the very strong level of feelings he manages to bring to the reader.
I enjoyed the creativity of the story line. I enjoyed the characters. The flow and consistency was spot on perfect.
I’m truly happy I took a chance on this author. She tells one hell of a good story.
